Things that are currently bothering me:

After recently having the pleasure of reinstalling my PC (Windows 7) and my work laptop (Windows XP), I encountered the following wonderful programs that have tried to install loads of software that I don’t actually need.

Windows live essentials (I only wanted Messenger)

  • Photo
  • Mail
  • Tries to set your home page and search provider
  • Windows live upload tool (hidden)
  • Windows live sign in assistant (hidden)
  • IE Toolbar
  • Other Crap
  • Always loads “Windows live today” by default

CutePDF

  • Ask toolbar
  • PDF Complete

Skype

  • Google Toolbar
  • Mysterious “add-in for internet explorer
  • Skype Toolbars

Flash Player & Acrobat Reader

  • Google Toolbar

To put it in perspective, if I’d gone with the default options I would have 2 PDF readers, 3 Internet Explorer tool bars, and a strange plugin that I know nothing about….none of which I actually need!
Also, I had the wonderful pleasure of finding out that, somehow, I have managed to crack my laptop screen on the way to work.  Waah :)
Anyone else have any programs they’d like to add to the list?
