Things that are currently bothering me:
After recently having the pleasure of reinstalling my PC (Windows 7) and my work laptop (Windows XP), I encountered the following wonderful programs that have tried to install loads of software that I don’t actually need.
Windows live essentials (I only wanted Messenger)
- Photo
- Tries to set your home page and search provider
- Windows live upload tool (hidden)
- Windows live sign in assistant (hidden)
- IE Toolbar
- Other Crap
- Always loads “Windows live today” by default
CutePDF
- Ask toolbar
- PDF Complete
Skype
- Google Toolbar
- Mysterious “add-in for internet explorer
- Skype Toolbars
Flash Player & Acrobat Reader
- Google Toolbar
To put it in perspective, if I’d gone with the default options I would have 2 PDF readers, 3 Internet Explorer tool bars, and a strange plugin that I know nothing about….none of which I actually need!
Also, I had the wonderful pleasure of finding out that, somehow, I have managed to crack my laptop screen on the way to work. Waah :)
Anyone else have any programs they’d like to add to the list?
